TELADOC THE TRENDY WAY TO SEE A DOCTOR!

In today’s fast pace-world of technology and innovations, we are force to move with the tide or get left behind, from smart watches to smart cars, to the latest toys and games, as such the medical field could not fall behind.  TELADOC is a WEB base application that is becoming a Medical trend by utilizing WEB 2.0 technology.  However, I feel that it is more than just a trend as it is a great convenient tool for people on the go and individuals who cannot wait for a Doctor’s appointment a week from today.

TELADOC is a friendly user WEB site from which one can review their informational videos and understand just  how it works, as well as sign up for a visit with a local (U.S. State board) Doctor, who can review symptoms and advise on how serious the illness is. Signing up is easy as it is WEB base. Once you have populated the proper boxes by providing the required information you can start your Doctors’ visit.  The Doctors at TELADOC will have access to your medical records and will add notes so that your primary Doctor can be aware of what’s going on with your health. They can also diagnose and prescribe medication, if needed, to your local pharmacy.

Another advantage of TELADOC is that the Doctor can actually see you during patient visits down time via WEB visits and PC camera. TELADOC seems to be the future of the Medical field and has been known to be as good as the Minute Clinics that are popping up at your local Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies, which might have a longer waiting time or not be in, at the time you need them. Another advantage of TELADOCs is that you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home for your Doctor’s visit. Alleviating the need for driving when you’re sick with a cold or flu or have a house full of children, and the cost is at times lower than the Minute clinics.

TELADOC has been featured in many TV news programs such as FOX news, WFAA news and ABC news to name a few, and seem to be growing in popularity across the nation. TELADOC Doctors complies with all Medical and HIPPA rules and regulations.

In the big picture this technology helps individuals who are far from city life and don't have access to doctors, as well as creates an easy alternative for all types of busy individuals, such as farmers and even business people who can visit a doctor via this technology 2.0 WEB.

All in all technology is growing and we can see just how there are multiple uses for it.  As such, people must take advantage of this.
But check it out for yourself, here are the links to this great new WEB 2.0 base site and see if TELADOC is for you. However if you are a busy professional and don't have time to seat at a doctor's office for a cold or other minor issue TELADOC could be right for you.

  1. Wow, that's really cool! There are so many times that I called my doctor and couldn't get an appointment for days, which resulted in me visiting urgent care just to get some meds to feel better. Teladoc is a great idea!

  2. Hello Marta,

And thank you for your comment. Yes, it seems that technology is not only catching up with medicine but Doctors as well. This is a great new way to get the help you when you need it and at a much lower cost than visiting the urgent care clinic for some meds, as you mention.

I hope this information was helpful and be sure to check-out the youtube video and other important information I've provided, who knows maybe TELADOC can help you next time you are in need of medication or other non life treating issues. Thank you for visiting my blog.

    Regards,
    -Ric.

  4. I had no clue that this even existed. I travel a lot and this is definitely something that I could utilize. I think that we could truly cut down on spreading of illnesses if we stayed out of the offices for anything contagious. Also followup appointments are such hassle.

    1. Hello Bruce,

I too was surprised when I saw it on TV and latter on the news. Seems like technology is moving in the right direction. If you travel or even if you don't this is a great option for Doctors visits. I was also thinking about the times late at night when feeling like you have the flu and can't wait a week to see your primary. Thank you for the post.

      Regards,

  5. I saw this on HGTV and one of the featured guest moved across the globe and was able to keep their job as a doctor through this type of technology. My only concern is that it isn't as accurate as being able to go to the doctor.

  6. Hello Tiara,

Its amazing to know that Doctors visits can be done via WEB 2.0! I feel this type of visit would be more for a cold or the flu vs. broken bone or something much more serious. I can only imagine how far technology will take us in the next 10 year, thank you for the comment.

  7. I would agree that this is a great marketing campaign. I am not certain I would use the service. This will probably work fine for minor problems or for determining when to go into the ER but I still want someone to look and talk to me about my health.

  8. Hello JJ,

I completely agree with you on the use of this services, and would advise on the side of caution for major problems, but I'm sure the doctor would let you know about that. Another demographic that would greatly benefit from this service would be the farmers and ranchers as they are away from city life and access to doctors is difficult at best.

    Thank you for the comments!
